There is a huge problem with drugs in Felicity Ohio,,,,Clermont County.......Three people have died from drug overdoses in the past five days....The town police are worthless.....The town needs the DEA to help.....The county court system sends all the drug addicts to Felicity to keep them in the same place...sad but true

As a "victim" of chronic pain, caused by both bad drivers &physical assaults, I am "lucky" to be alive. However, my quality of life is completely subject to the ability to control my pain. If you have not been there, I promise you, it is impossible to relate. The last thing I want is to be dependent on opiods, or anything for that matter, but they have been instrumental in my physcial &mental well being. My 1st accident was over 20yrs ago. I have had a failed neck surgery (cervical fusion), more injections into my spine than I can count, more physical therapists than I can remember, &most recently my doc attempted to burn the nerves in my neck that are relaying the pain signals. Most of these procedures have been aweful &I feel most often like a lab rat. It would be life changing if there were someing other than opiods to control pain, but most often they are the only thing that brings relief.. &enables me to be a good mother to &care for my children. Yes, it is sad, but the alternative is suicide...&I as a single mother have 2 children who are exlemplary students, really amazing kids, that are doing really well in all areas of thier lives. They need me. I have tried, many years to "deal with" my pain, holistic, natural, every approach there is, but the pain wears on even the strongest of people. Why is our healthcare subject to what addicts are going to do when they steal or otherwise divert our medication? It is completely unfair that the quality of our lifes is subject to to the fears of addicts overdosing. By eliminating prescription opiods, you are not eliminating the problem. Street drugs can be just as easy or easier to get, and will be abused much more if other opiods are not available. It will have the effect of criminalizing chronic pain suffers &increasing suicide rates for those who feel that they have no other options for living. If better alternatives existed? I assure you that they would be used. I am sad to see that the very best doctor I have ever had is being criminalized for helping her patients to live thier lives in the most comfortable way possible. Education, awareness, and the availability of rehab services for those struggling with addiction is the answer. Not criminalizing pain. Please stop letting fear drive your opinions.
